The 2015 Wellness Challenge will begin on January 17 with 10 weeks of challenges to help you move more, eat better, and connect with others. The Wellness Challenge is more than just a weight loss contest! It was put together to help members make healthy lifestyle changes that are sustainable. It has been exciting over the past 6 years to watch members make healthy, sustainable choices that have improved their health and fitness. The key word is sustainable. As we kick off the challenge each year we encourage members to set goals for the 10 weeks as well as long term goals past the challenge. Taking advantage of the available 15 minute appointments with the registered dietician, Wellness Coach, and Fitness Specialist can also assist you in reaching your goals.
The program offers something for all of our members, even if weight loss is not a goal. Perhaps your diet needs to be healthier, you need to exercise regularly, or reduce your stress. We encourage participants to join a team so they can receive support and accountability to make lasting changes.
Each week participants will have a nutrition or exercise challenge. Individuals completing the challenge each week will be entered into a prize drawing for personal training, nutrition counseling, wellness coaching, massages, and gift cards. A cash prize drawing will be held at the end of the ten weeks for participants completing all challenges and earning all possible points.
To participate in the Wellness Challenge register at the member service desk by January 15 and schedule an appointment with a fitness specialist for your initial weigh-in and measurements.
