Research shows playing sports at a young age has a direct impact on how active we are while growing up. Youth sports challenge children in many ways. What separates the really good players from the average players? In many cases it’s the ability to quickly change direction in response to game situations. When dealing with young athletes the reality is that in most sports like football, baseball, basketball and soccer the ability to quickly change direction is more important than any other factor. Court sports, like tennis and volleyball, also require multi-dimensional first step quickness and change direction movements to be successful. It is the difference between success and failure.
