There are a variety of group exercises classes to choose from at Chelsea Wellness Center. If you are trying out group exercise classes for the first time, it may be hard to select which class is best for you. Here are a few tips on how you can choose the perfect group exercise class for your fitness routine:
Establish your fitness goals before choosing a class
To choose a class that is right for you, you must establish your fitness goals. Classes may focus on cardio, strength training, use bikes, yoga or Pilate’s equipment, or incorporate dance. There are also classes that can train you for athletic events.
Learn your fitness level
Group exercises classes also range from beginner to advanced levels. If you are unsure about your fitness level, an assessment with a fitness specialist can help. After a FREE Polar BodyAge® fitness assessment, you can choose the appropriate group exercise class.
Research the class setting
Are you looking for a fast-paced or relaxed class? Read the class descriptions to get a clear idea of the type of setting you’ll experience in the classes offered to get an effective workout and make the most of your time.
Talk to the class instructor
Speaking with the class instructor before or after your first class can give you a better idea of how a class can help you reach your goals. The instructors are happy to answer any questions you may have and can offer suggestions on the best classes for your fitness level.
