For over a year, Tricia Miranda-Hartsuff’s been a member of Chelsea Wellness Center. She resides in downtown Chelsea and is a professor in the area of health policy. While on sabbatical this past year, she spent her days working on her research from home and visiting the Chelsea Wellness Center. Although she studies health, she knows that “knowledge does not equal behavior.”
She sought out the center to find a sense of accountability and community. Miranda-Hartsuff met a diverse group of area residents with similar fitness and nutrition goals. These center members have provided her with the accountability she couldn’t find elsewhere.
Miranda-Hartsuff works with a wellness coach to help achieve more of a work-life balance. Also, she trains with center fitness specialist Stacy Sheets twice per week and plans to continue her sessions throughout the school year.
“I’m on my way to realizing my fitness and work-life balance goals and encouraging others to step out of their comfort zone,” said Miranda-Hartsuff.
